A few eyebrow-raisers when I tried to join the new version that I was a member of long ago. smiley

    1. All big rounded-corner buttons such as Register and Login has no text or white text, on white background. Being the intuitive being that I am, I managed to register anyway.

    2. Instead of typing next to the username textbox that usernames have to be lowercase, I got an error upon submitting the form - written in so faint gray letters on cyan-gray background, that I had to select the text to read that it was so.

    3. After clicking the confirm-email, I thought I'd be logged in. But I wasn't, so I clicked the Login button in the sidebar. That made me login as (Anonymous), displaying "(Anonymous) | Logout|MODX.com. In panic, I closed the tab and went to the forums url again!

    4. Clicking the Login next to Register at top did the trick.

I can delete the saved password for this site and provide screenshots as proof on demand. Using the NEXT latest stable of Opera Desktop for Windows (just got a popup for 11.62 10 minutes ago, haha).

So how does it look in a different browser? Pick one, take a peek. Anything good or bad?

Forum looks good to me (FF), but search isn't working tonight for some reason.

It's not about the design though, these things are more critical and if they aren't cross-browser compatible, users of some browsers might have trouble registering at all. Opera has a fair share of the mobile browser market and certainly the hundreds of thousands of Opera Desktop users might be of the same strain that support alternative CMSes. Opera is also more highly standards-compliant than a few major ones, so there's probably just a CSS error, like using -moz- commands instead of CSS3 and just patching for IE, not others. Just a blind guess.
