    Hello,

    Just got a new server

    • Ubuntu 4.14
    • Plesk V10
    • PHP Version 5.3.2-1
    • New compatible mysql version
    • Revo 220pl2

I want to run php as fastcgi for permissioning and the security benefits of not having to using 777 permissions as I was under appche mod

Revo installed fine first time no problems, through package management a colleague installed a package fine, through the file browser you can create directories and also upload text (.txt) files fine.

BUT - you can not apparently upload any other file types png / pdf / .csv huh The uploader just hangs and reports 'upload error'

I have 10m upload size in both PHP.ini and Modx settings / uploads turned on / Modx allowed upload file types are all the default long list / I have everything else set to default settings / I have even tried to set receiving folder permissions to 777 but still can only upload text files???

I have reverted back to Apache mod and set folders to 777 and can upload anything but want to run fastcgi.

I have searched in forums for solution but no luck - any suggestions?

Thanks in advance. [ed. note: megasteve4 last edited this post 14 years, 7 months ago.]
