[Solved] TinyMCE and Firefox11 - most versions of EVO

Here's a new phenomenon.

I use Firefox as my development Browser - and it has just gone to Version 11. Some time after this I noticed that in all versions of EVO where I have more than one Rich Text TV, all the TVs, except the last, on the Resource Editing page show blank. The content of the TV is still there, as clicking on the Tiny MCE "html" icon shows the raw html content - as does toggling the TinyMCE on and off. Sometimes, but not always, toggling full-screen mode also reveals the content. But sometimes not.

All my sites with a particular host show this phenomenon, and I've written to them to ask if they did anything over the weekend (I first saw it on Sunday morning, Hong Kong time). I await their response. I don't have any EVO sites hosted with other hosting providers so can't eliminate the hosters as the root cause of this. It doesn't seem to affect any of my Revo sites with that host or others.

Nor does it affect other Browsers: Safari, Chrome and evil old IE8 all work fine.

I've tried re-installing the same version of EVO, I've tried upgrading to 1.0.4 and 1.0.5 to no avail. I've tried restoring backed-up databases. It isn't MODx and it isn't due to any changes made by me or my clients. Definitely a Firefox thing - with or without some kind of change at my hosts.

yes, same here... and it is particularly annoying
as you have noticed, this only affect ff11 then i think it must be due to their new js engine but let's say it's a bit hard to explain to customers we keep saying do not use ie and keep you browsers up to date...

Yes, this is problem in last release of FF (Firefox 11). Download latest version of TinyMCE from http://www.tinymce.com/ and replace content of /assets/plugins/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/ after this all works fine.

I did some more research. It's a Firefox bug, already reported, based on a TinyMCE problem since fixed. Unbug one thing, something else develops fleas. Hey ho.

To be fair, it's the first time Firefox has let me down.
