Hi, I need some urgent help and will try to explain what has lead to a newly published site disappearing, most of the manager interface vanishing (including all resources and elements) plus manager login returning a 500-internal server error. I'm a newbie that installed revo 2.2.0pl on a temporary domain using cpanel whilst i built up the site. To access the manager during the build stages i used ipaddress/~username/manager, with modx installed at the root.
Earlier today, the site was ready and client domain was pointed to host. However, although i'd successfully managed to set everything up and activate seo furls, i noticed that once the domain had propogated, the url's for all pages read- ip-address/~username/my-chosen-furls-here.html.
After asking in another post how to fix this, i was advised to follow this link and update my config.inc.php file paths-
http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Moving+Your+Site+to+a+New+Server
/* PATHS */
$modx_core_path= '/path/to/modx_doc_root/core/';
$modx_processors_path= '/path/to/modx_doc_root/core/model/modx/processors/';
$modx_connectors_path= '/path/to/modx_doc_root/connectors/';
$modx_manager_path= '/path/to/modx_doc_root/manager/';
$modx_base_path= '/path/to/modx_doc_root/';
$modx_assets_path= '/path/to/modx_doc_root/assets/';
/* HOST (used for command-line PHP stuff) */
$http_host='yoursite.com';
What i did, was following this, i noticed my site username was displayed on every line. I replaced this with the site url as abc.com for example. When i hit save and then looked at the site it didn't display correctly, only showing html minus css & images. I then reverted back to pasting in the original code that was there before and got the error message- processor not found:update
I then went into the .htaccess file within modx revo and where there is a line reading Rewrite base /
this previously had my site username in there before i set up furls. I put the username back in again, and now when i view site everything has gone with a 500 internal server error message showing.
Furthermore, i cannot login to the manager, and when i was last in the manager, like i said, half of it had vanished. This is a new client site which had been live just hours ago.
Is there any signs here that suggest what went wrong, and have i lost everything? Is there a way to retrieve the site i've just spent weeks building up in Modx? The css file is still in the root along with images, but i wouldn't know where to locate all the site pages which where built up in modx and presumably stored in the database i set up..
Any suggestions appreciated.
