    Hi,
    I have some problems with MODx 0.9.5 after a bad happening and i think that re-installing can repair damaged files and solves problems;
    NOW,
    Will my data (on MODx CMS) miss after re-installing???

    I don’t like to upgrade to 0.9.6 too because (i think) 0.9.6 does not support some snippets, plugins,... which i use on 0.9.5 now.

    Thanks

      Be sure to backup the database and files first.

      Upload the fresh copy of 095 or 096 (upto you), add the custom files (custom assets, snippets etc) modify the config and run the installer in "upgrade" mode.

      Check if things work, if they do, replace this install with the live site.

      regards.

          Sorry, I was talking about the configuration file (config.inc.php in manager/includes/ folder).

          regards.

              The config.inc.php file has details about database and its user/password. You need to modify them to match with the new database details.
