I believe that the 'best practice' for formatting a snippet is to use a chunk rather than the snippet itself. But take this simple chunk I'm using in Evo (without PHx) for example:
    <p>[+name+]
    [+street+]
    [+addressline1+]
    [+addressline2+]
    [+town+]
    [+county+]
    [+postcode+]</p>

Note: the above code I'm using as an example is omitting 'line-break' after the placeholders

This works well if all the placeholders are not empty but if say 'addressline1' and 'county' are empty the resultant code leaves blank lines which doesn't look good. So is it best to format the code in the snippet after all? [ed. note: randall last edited this post 14 years, 7 months ago.]

Embed the phx class in your snippet, like Jot does.

Thanks, ok I've no idea how Jot includes phx classes but I'll see if I can work out how it does it.
