I'm trying to develop a custom component for a client, and using MODExt for the manager interface. (Actually, the manager interface is all there is to this particular one.) Anyway, I'm brand new to MODExt and ExtJS, and trying to wrap my head around it. I'm having trouble debugging the scripts, though, because Firebug is displaying them as one function per line, instead of including the newlines that are in the original code. This means that I cannot set a breakpoint inside a function, and makes stepping through the code much more difficult.
Can anyone tell me if this is a behavior of MODx or Firebug, and how to change it so that my code will be displayed with the original newlines intact?

Turns out this was a simple fix, but I thought I'd post the solution here in case anyone else has the same problem. For development purposes, change the MODx System Setting "compress_js" to "No." This will allow you to see the uncompressed version of the file in Firebug in order to debug it. For production, you will want to change this setting back to the default "Yes," since compression speeds up the manager a great deal.
