Search - Setting up AdvSearch snippet, what's wrong?

Has anyone setup AdvSearch? I'm running some test on my localhost to try it out but can't get a simple version to work.

Is there a tutorial anywhere?

i've placed the following into my page with a few test pages on ids 3, 4, 5. This should work but it doesn't. What am I missing? (I'm tearing my hair out)

[[AdvSearchForm? &help=`0` &asId=`as1` ]]

[[!AdvSearch? &ids=`3,4,5` &perPage=`5`]]

do you have to install zend framework?

Is there a tutorial anywhere?

See the pdf document inside core/components/advsearch/docs folder or look at http://www.revo.wangba.fr/advsearch-documentation.html

hi coroico,
thanks for creating this snippet. revo is still taking a while to get to the same level as evo as regards community support and tutorials, hopefully it will happen soon.

I read your documentation but since I'm mainly a CSS frontend designer some of the terminology is tricky for me.

Is the Zend framework compulsory to get the snippet to work?
when i go to http://www.zend.com/en/products/server-ce/downloads?src=zfdfirst
it's 150mb! is that right?

1/ Go to the zend Framework download page at http://framework.zend.com/download/current/

2/ register you and download the free Zend Framework. Minimal release is enough.

Zend Framework 1.11 minimal release is sufficient (6.04 Mb)

ok, i'll try to install zend and get back to you.

another query re: search results
Are the search results outputted with default Modx tags only (eg. [[*pagetitle]], [[*content]])

I'd like to output these default Modx tags and some TVs on each resource?

Is this possible

sorry,
the code examples missing above

I'd like to output these default Modx tags and some TVs on each resource?

Is this possible

Yes as example you could use and some other placeholders
For TVs use

Look at the documentation to know the available placeholders

http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/AdvSearch.AdvSearch

http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/AdvSearch.AdvSearch.tpl

http://www.revo.wangba.fr/assets/files/advsearch/advSearch100_v1.4.pdf

ok, thanks.
when i download and install zend I'll run some tests and use the placeholders you provide.

note:
I installed SimpleSearch and tried to output TVs using the standard placeholder

but it would only outputed Modx placeholders
