I am developing a website that will need to have the capabilities as listed below.

I know that MODx can handle Item #1.

The other items I am not certain of. Please assist.

    Items

    1. user login (username/password)

    2. users will be completing an on-line application which has many different forms depending on what type of real estate they are requesting.

    3. users will need to upload various files as a part of this application process

    4. users, once logged in, need to be able to see their data (previously completed forms) when they log back in.

    5. super users/admins need to be able to see all data from any user

I’ve done something similar, so yes you can do this with MODx. You’ll need eForm and either the eForm2Database extension or your own scripts to run on eForm events and save the user’s data. You can pre-populate partially filled-out forms (or whatever else you need) using an eForm event function as well.

You also may want to check out the PPP snippet, since that may be an easier starting point for your user info system.
