I moved my site from a development location to it's permanent URL and everything seems to be working fine except that I can no longer edit the Components. I have FAQ Manager and UNCOS News installed and they are working perfectly on the site. However, now when I click on either of them in the manager menu, the page changes as it should to display either of the components, but the right side of the page shows up as blank and I can't make any changes/additions to either component.

    Any help is much appreciated.

Make sure that your browser's cache and cookies are cleared.

Delete all of the folders under the core/cache folder.

Do a search in the database and in the files for your old URL and file path. I've found references to "localhost/revo/" or whatever the dev site was in a few odd places after moving a site.

In the Manager, clear cache, flush permissions, and flush sessions.

My experience has been that in several of the upgrades of Revo I've done I've had to completely remove then download and re-install at least one package (so far never the same one twice, it seems quite random) to get it to work. If you end up doing this, make sure to backup your database so you can recover the data in any custom tables the package was using.

Thanks for the help. I did everything like you said but the components still don't show. And when I add a new package that is supposed to show in the components menu... it does show in the menu, but when I click it, the area on the right side of the browser remains empty where it should appear.

        :(

Sounds like some kind of obscure permissions problem; that's way over my head.

Try changing the compress_js System Setting to 'no' (go to System -> System Settings and type compress in the search box at the upper right).

Thanks for the try BobRay. It still doesn't show. I'm wondering if it is some kind of path setting in the config file?

I think you'd run into other problems with the Manager if it was a MODX path problem, but you can check the paths in core/config/config.inc.php.

I think it's more likely a path problem with those addons. Edit their elements and check the "Properties" tab to see if there are any paths there. Then check the System Settings to see if there are any path settings specific to those components.

If that doesn't work, I'd try uninstalling, removing completely, and redownloading/installing them.

I'd also check the path in the modx_workspaces table in the DB.

Another way to go, if you know how, is to go into PhpMyAdmin and search the DB for your old path (the one from the dev. server).
