I have a problem when downloading packages within package management.

I get a warning and it says: cURL must be installed and configured as an extension for PHP for you to use Package Management. You can find more information about cURL on the PHP cURL website.


I already have the files ssleay32.dll, libeay32.dll, and php_curl.dll in my php folder,
and uncommented the ;extension=php_curl.dll in the php.ini file.

However, i still get this message.

Can anubody help me?

Did you restart the server?

Does phpinfo() report cURL as enabled?

Sometimes I get these error messages even though it appears that the package was downloaded and installed.

I could not resolve the issue eventhough php_curl was loaded according to phpinfo(). I read that there was a bug in the 64-bit version. The 64-bit version of php_curl.dll was buggy. A new version was released that fixed the error. You can get the fix from http://www.anindya.com/php-5-4-3-and-php-5-3-13-x64-64-bit-for-windows/. Look for "Fixed curl extensions:" on the page for the file and copy the dll into your wampserver/bin/php/{version}/ext/ folder then restart Apache.

Following those steps solved the problem for me.
