(EVO) change document parent selector

Hello,
there's a way to change the document's parent selector?
The default let you click on the resource that you want to make parent, i would like to make a <select> maybe populated with specific resources and not the all site-tree.

Don't you know that in the tree menu you can just use the mouse "right click" button and place a resource directly under a certain parent? Is this what you are asking for?

Yes, i know, but i'm going to hide the tree for the editors/publishers.

The only thing you can do is use manager groups and permissions. Resources belonging to resource group connected to a manager user group will only be visible to the users belonging to the associated manager user group.

Generally i do this, this time i wanted to change.. But seems diffcult!

Maybe with javascript, replacing the 'standard' parent selector and filling the <select> with the needed categories.. but i'm not really a master of javascript..
I've seen a similar templatevariable replace in a plugin called MultiPhotos..
I'm delirious, or you think it would be worth?

Sorry I don't know that plugin, but maybe you could add dynamic links on the Welcome Page with a plugin:
