    My host upgraded my website to PHP 5.1.4 today. Everything else is working, save my CMS. The Manager interface works w/out any errors, but all I can get when I view my website is a blank page (doesn’t even parse any code).

    No errors show up in the Error Log in the Manager, btw.

    I use ModX 0.9.6 (Final), and my MySQL is 4.1.20.

    Any help is greatly, greatly appreciated. smiley

    (Checked the CHMOD values...everything is 777, except for some files like docidxx.pageCache.php, which are "owned" by the server and I can’t touch in /assets/cache.)

      I’ll bet it’s an auto_prepend_file setting that’s been rolled out. See http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,15342.0.html -- if that’s not it, reply back...

        Crap...didn’t work.

        I left it in there, just in case it isn’t showing up right for me for some reason. (http://tales.rpgplanet.gamespy.com/, in case you need that)

        If you need it, I can send you a copy of my phpinfo page, in case that might help. smiley

        EDIT: For the time being, I’m going to replace the ModX index.php page w/ one to tell my visitors that something’s went wrong and we’re trying to fix it (I’ll replace it w/ the real index.php once another fix/etc. is posted).

          I just thought of something...is there something I can add to my .htaccess or a option in the Manager that will force ModX to not hide errors (ala a debug mode of sorts). Think that might help?

          I just noticed this when checking it the System Events tab this morning. Weird thing is, that file exists, and it’s CHMOD to 777...

          EDIT: Tried setting the site status to Offline, but nothing changed. x_x

            Now this is weird...

            If I completely take out...

            if(count(get_included_files())>1) $noparser = true;

            or

            if(count(get_included_files())>1) {
            if (array_search(__FILE__,get_included_files())>0)
            $noparser = true;
            }

            ...it shows up perfectly (doing this on a test site I have set up). I’m going to test this some more to make sure it works alright, but is having that code important for the site to run alright (i.e., would it cause a security issue having it removed)?

              Correct, as described in the original thread I posted, just replace those lines with $noparser= false. It is not needed for anything other than the new ability to included index.php from another script so you can access the MODx API without triggering the request handler (i.e. executeParser()).

              BTW, this has nothing to do with the version of PHP you are using, but rather with the auto_prepend_file directive in your PHP configuration...

                Sorry about that. I dunno why I didn’t think of setting that to false. xd

                Anyways, thanks for all your help. smiley
