which method makes a document private?

just a simple question, but i haven’t found the answer by looking at the modx method names.

is there a method that sets a given doc id private to an array of doc groups? i’ve already coded this myself, but it would be good to use the api.

No, but this needs to be reworked for 0.9.7 as well, but currently, you’d need to add the record to the (modx_)document_groups table and then set the appropriate flag on the (modx_)site_content table setting privateweb and/or privatemgr to 1 or 0 as appropriate, based on the document groups being tied to one or more manager and/or web user groups.
