Customize Admin Home Page?

I need to add some extra links to the home page of the admin site (where it says "Welcome to your MODx Content Manager"), to give people quick ways of creating content in different sections of the site. Is it possible to customise the home page? I’m happy to write a plugin if necessary (it’d be preferable than editing core files) but I can’t figure out how to only add the links to that page.

Thanks,
Peter

The data for the page you are looking for is in manager/actions/welcome.static.php and I couldn’t find any reference to modifying that particular page via plugin, so to modify the page output, look in:

manager/media/style/’.$manager_theme.’/welcome.html

$manager_theme is the theme you are using, so you may have to edit all you have installed if the user has a choice of themes...

Thanks, but in this case I only have access via the file browser in the manager, so I can’t edit those files...

hmmmm.... so do you have ftp access to the files? If so then modify a copy on your comp and then upload and replace the existing ones is the only solution in that case

Check the "Customize Manager Fields" plugin http://www.modxcms.com/Customize-Manager-Fields-1342.html, it should give you some insight on how to do it.
