Hi, hardway to learn. I have by accident re-used a sites CSS/template for the next site. Now the host had a "massive hardware failure" and apparently also their backups fail! I found the CSS but need the template. I managed to backup the MYSQL from server.

But now I am not sure if I can find the template file in there. Also database and prefix name have changed and pw and user name have changed. Do I risk anything if I "restore" the tables?

Load your database in a document editor and search/replace your old table prefix with the new one, same for the database name.
pw and user name for sql or modx ?
Search for ’site_templates’ in your SQL file and you will find the table wich contains them.
If you restore the table and you have the Drop Table in your sql, all you previous table will be erased.

thanks for reply. Was resolved using xamp, locally. Renamed it localy over xamp and uploaded and all more or less okay.
Will make my own backups from now on, Best! Frank. grin
