How to disable the 500 server error message?

I'm trying to troubleshoot a new installation of revo 2.2 on a MediaTemple GS ... all I get is the modx generated "500 Error A fatal application error has been encountered." ...
how do I turn this darned thing off so I can see the actual error??

Look in the MT Control Panel for the "Error Log", it usually provides more detail on the actual error. No other way around it to get anything from the front-end until to clear the issue.

They don't log php errors by default... I did manage to tail the log in /core/cache/logs/error.log & found:

Which seems to be the source of my grief, related to MT version of the mysql client I think... Do you have a successful MT/GS modx running?

That would be the cause.

For me I have not had a chance to get Revo on MT though I've had good luck with them making changes to support various configuration options in the past so I'd think they would be responsive.

Yes - I've been with them for years now, using their DVs ... this is the first time I've had to use the GS. Their support is great, but has been very slow to respond for the past few months.....

Have a support ticket in to see if there is a possibility of using a different client version .... dunno haw that will go over though.
