Hello ,
currently i want to change the old cms from my client to modx.
But my client has a good rating of pages in google so i want to redirect via .htaccess some pages to the new url .
for example :
if you go to the link http://www.myhomepage.com/?nav=project via google you need to be redirected to the new adress http://www.myhomepage.com/newadress.html
so how do i do this ? which code should i use in the .htaccess file ? does friendly urls still work after ?
Greetz from Monsterboy
PS : i don`t want to redirect directorys, only the urls
i’m trying to the same thing. the code would be:
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} id=572
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ /newpage.php [L]
where the id=572 is a part of the old url: index.php?id=572
the problem i’m having is that MODx overwrites this with a global rewrite.
Anybody have any suggestions on how i can modify the htaccess file to have this type of exceptions?
Thanks,
Aleks
