Adding the GA code to a chunk wouldn't break your manager. There is something else going on here. Additionally, why are you running the RC-1 of Evolution. We're at Evo 1.0.5 and there's a pending release for 1.0.6 coming. There have been security fixes and patched vulnerabilities that may be the issue here. It may be entirely coincidental that your site has been compromised at the same time as GA was installed.

I think the problem is caused by removing the GA extra. It leaves behind a setting pointing to a Manager template that no longer exists.
Try editing the modx_system_settings table in PhpMyAdmin and changing the value of manager_theme to default.
Hm, I tried that, and it didn't work. Should I try installing a newer version of modx over this one?
It's alright, I just installed the new version of modx and copied the data over and it works fine. GA works good too.
