    I need to change the path on which MODX is located. I found the config.inc file which looks like it should handle this but when I change this, the manager no longer works. The website works great, but is there another config file I have to change paths in that is specific to the manager?

    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks!

      There is a config.core.php file in each of the following directories:

      § MODX root directory
      § /manager/
      § /connectors/
      § /setup/includes/

      You need to update those too if you move the core (I'm assuming you're using MODX Revolution).

        Hi thanks for the assistance. I am indeed using Revolution. Before I start changing these files, let me be more specific to make sure I am doing the right thing.

        The base path will change from:
        /var/www/vhosts/temp-plazaelsegundo.com/httpdocs/domains/plazaelsegundo.com/
        to
        /var/www/vhosts/plazaelsegundo.com/httpdocs/domains/plazaelsegundo.com/

        I found this path in /core/config.inc.php and changed all instances of it to remove "temp-". The website works but the manager does not.

        Since I didn't move the /core/ directory within my website's relative directory I don't think I will have to change the config.core.php files, which right now say:
        <?php
        define('MODX_CORE_PATH', dirname(dirname(__FILE__)) . '/core/');
        define('MODX_CONFIG_KEY', 'config');

        Am I wrong? If so what do I change them to? What am I missing?

        Thank you

          No, you're right, but there are often System Settings and other things based on the old path. I though you were moving just the core (a good idea for later, BTW).

          The first thing to try is manually deleting the files in the core/cache directory, then clear your browser cache and cookies.

          The next thing to try is re-running Setup in upgrade mode. That will usually straighten out all paths.

          You'll have to upload the Setup directory. Don't proceed with the setup unless the "Upgrade" box is checked.
