Hi,
I created a site using Revolution 2.0.8-pl over a year ago and until this weekend it had been working correctly.
Our hosting Company performed a php upgrade to version 5.3 and now the site does NOT appear correctly and I cannot login to the Manager. There are NO php errors being displayed!
When you type the URL www.thewebsiteaddress.com , the homepage content appears but NONE of the styling, menus etc. I can manually type any site URL of the website and again everything contained within [[*content]] will be displayed but nothing else
From any browser when I view the HTML source of the page, only the <p>content</p> is displayed.
The Hosting Company assure me that this issue is not anything to do with the php upgrade itself but must be an “incompatibility” problem with one of the php files within MODx.
I also have 3 other sites build using MODx Revolution 2.0.8 which are hosted by the same company and they are all fine.
Could someone please point me in the right direction for a solution?
Hi,
An update of this problem. The issue has been SOLVED and the site is back up and running.
After the php version update by the hosting company, /public_html/core/config/config.inc.php was changed. The line: $database_connection_charset = 'utf8'; was changed to delete the entry `utf8`.
Once I changed it back, the problem was solved.
