    Hello,

many CMSs that I tested before I found the ultimate one handled content on pages quite different than MODx. In MODx you have exactly one content on a page that can be edited in one big textarea or with TinyMCE.

Many other CMSs allow more than one content and various content types. I wonder if it is possible in MODx too. Without usinf ditto for it and without extensively using TVs for that. I hope you understand what I mean, I’m afraid that I can’t explain it better.

    Thanks
    Martin

Just think of the "content" input field as a TV. For other bits of content, use other TVs. That’s what they are for. And once you get around the idea of the various types of bindings (@INHERIT especially) you’ll wonder how you ever designed a website without them!

Well, after I posted my topic, I wondered why I would want to brak up the content at all. I think it’s just because I was used to until now.

Your hint with the TV is good, although I bristle a bit to use too many TVs on a template. Well, as I said, i’m at the beginning of using MODx and I need to think different than before. But it’s never benn that easy wink

I think that once you’ve properly "untrained" your thought patterns (from the way so many other solutions do it) you’ll find MODx to be fairly liberating. smiley

Actaully, TV’s are the best way to set your site up.... set a default and then edit each page if needed... can’t get much better than that grin
