[GALLERY] Album well created but no image shown in Manager

    Hello

    Fresh install of Gallery 1.4.0. I'm able to create album, i can upload images but no way to see them in manager... no error in my error.log but this stack error in my apache.log

    Any idea about this, and how to show the album's images in manager? Is it a bug (and do I report it as a bug ?) or just a misconfig (I didn't change any setting at this time) or something I miss ?

    Any help will be appreciated

      Hi again
      No images in manager (they appears as broken link see attached jpg)...
      after further investigation I found that if I right-click on the (broken) thumb above image description (surrounded in red on the attached file) and copy/paste URL provided I got this one :
      http://localhost/revo22/assets/components/gallery/connector.php?action=web/phpthumb&h=100&w=100&zc=1&far=C&src=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%2Frevo22%2Fassets%2Fcomponents%2Fgallery%2Ffiles%2F5%2F22.jpg


      As you can see 'action=web' but I'm in the manager not in the web context... I guess the trouble can be here but did not find how to solve it at this time

        Hi anso,

        I guess that's not relevant to your problem. action=web/phpthumb means it's looking for the phpthumb class to generate the thumbnail (no matter in which context you are).

        Albeit i'm no Gallery user, i hope that will help (at least a little bit ;p).

          Not really...
          you're right it's not relevant (too fast reading ! too fast (no)thinking too)...
          But I think I find where is the problem :
          In System settings, I can see

          gallery.phpthumb_path : C:/wamp/www/revo22/assets/components/phpthumb/
          gallery.phpthumb_url : /revo22/assets/components/phpthumb/

          Those two settings should be right EXCEPT that I have NO assets/components/phpthumb/ directory at all... I guess it should be installed by Gallery, but it seems it is not... so of course it's very more difficult to have it working...

          Any idea how to solve that ? (i'll investigate in this way...)

            Anso,

            I assume those settings are coming from an older Gallery release, since i did not find any use of those setting while checking the Gallery source code.

            Furthermore, while checking the phpthumb processor (web/phpthumb) you can notice that it makes use of the modPhpThumb bundled with Revo (see https://github.com/splittingred/Gallery/blob/develop/core/components/gallery/processors/web/phpthumb.php#L10)... again it might not really be relevant to your issue (sorry i can only tell "wrong path" and not show you the proper one lipsrsealed)

              Don't know where those settings come from (I have them too on a new revo and new gallery install) may be not yet removed of the current version...
              But that does not solve the problem... Albums and images are here, saved as they should be, but I can't find a way to have the pictures displayed in mgr...
              I'm not a Gallery user (not an Images user at all, but this time I have to deal with images) and I'm searching a simple way to manage them for my client.
              I thought that Gallery should be the right add-on (and had it to work for test with older versions -revo 2.0.5 or something like that)...but may be it's not...

                OK I got it...
                The problem comes from ImageMagick, that doesn't work with a WAMP64bits...
                It seems that ImageMagick is a prerequesite and there is no alternative...
                I have ImageMagick installed on my Windows7, I tried to specifiy the path in the system settings, but with no more luck...
                I'm afraid I have to reinstall WAMP but in 32bits this time...
                Any other idea would be appreciated...
