    Hello everyone.
    Transferring my site to new hosting.
    Everything works, except the manager.
    All the content on the site is shown exactlly the way it was in production env and the user/pass combo is valid on the manager login interface. (which makes me think the db isn't the problem)
    But I get blank screens for every menu entry (excpet welcome.php) in the manager.
    Screen shot is attached.
    Everything is chmodded 0777 and chowned correctly.
    I followed the guide http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Moving+Your+Site+to+a+New+Server with pinpoint accuracy. (including upgrading).
    Any help will be appreciated.

    specs:
    modx rev 2.2.0-pl2
    apache2
    fastCGI php
    mysql 5
    linux debian 6.0.3 squeeze [ed. note: f16d5s last edited this post 14 years, 7 months ago.]

      Do you have this in the head section of all templates?

      <base href="[[++site_url]]" />

        yes, I do have
        <base href="[[++site_url]]" />

        in all my templates.

        example:

        <html>
        <head>
        <title>[[++site_name]] - [[*pagetitle]]</title>
        <base href="[[++site_url]]" />
        </head>
        <body>
        [[*content]]
        </body>
        </html>

          this could be caused by the compress css/js problem - try turning off compress css and compress js - you'll need to go into the database and do it directly - table is modx_system_settings (assuming you have used modx as a prefix)
          Change compress_css and compress_js to '0'.
          Then manually clear the cache.

            whistlemaker, thanks!
            But there are no compress_css and compress_js fields in the modx_system_settings table in the db.
            What i did though was edit the core/cache/system_settings/config.cache.php and manually set compress_css and compress_js to 0, even though modx warned me during install that it did this automatically (suhosin patch limits request length to less than 4096 i believe).
            Thanks for the support, really helped me out!
            I was dumb and forgot that phpmyadmin limits output to 30 rows by default... The fields are there in the db. SIlly me. [ed. note: f16d5s last edited this post 14 years, 7 months ago.]
