Hi!
I need to manage a long and constantly changing list of upcoming events. The reader of the page should see
1. a list of dates and short names of upcoming events. (clickable)
2. a calendar view of the dates (clickable)
3. a full view of every event
How would one do it in MODx? Are there snippets to use?
Furthermore, it would be great, if the reader could filter the displayed events with keywords.
Any nudges in the right direction are appreciated!

Yeah, I know. Is this all there is? It seems that EventCalendar is not too bad. But it only works with PHP 5 and I have only 4 on my webspace.
Also it would be great to have more space for information for the events.

Did you check out Kalendar? I haven’t installed but it seems to be a good place to start and perhaps build on.

take a look at www.lulalounge.ca: unfortunately we’re getting terrible performance on the server right now (in the middle of moving to a Joyent accelerator), but I did a fair bit of work to modify NewsListing to create a listing system. I also modded (IIRC) JSCalendar to get the calendar we have, which leaves something to be desired but works without problems.
