Hi,
have a problem with retrieving user passwords:
this is my setup
1: User registers through the form on frontend, selects username, password gets assigned automatically by modx
2: i have a snippet that automatically blocks the user on registration
3. after i confirm and check all fields i unblock the user and i need to send them their login info: username and password.
if i just pull the pwd data directly from the Database i get the md5 encoded string.
is there any way to pull the real one ?
Thanks,
Aleks

No, this is not possible and would be a rather gaping security hole if it was. You should set the password to something else before sending the email so you have the original password to send.
yea .. i kind of figured.
so basically when i need to send a confirmation email to the user i have to do a password change and email it right away to the user with updating it in the DB ...
Thanks !
