I am new to ModX, inherited a site from another dev.
The site currently has a group called Web Users which are users who have joined the site. I am able to set the Web Groups for a given resources to WebUsers and then if a user isn't logged in they won't have access to that given resource.
This works great but the client wants to add another level of users (calling them tier 3). the difference is that web users have access to a given set of resources, while this new level (tier 3) will have access to a few more + all the ones from the Web Users.
The only qualifying difference between users is how much information they provide. If they only give name and email they are a Web User, if they provide address, and other fields then they become a Tier 3 user. Also some resources will be Tier 3 only so on those pages I would like to add a form with all fields required to gain access to the resource.
I believe I am using Modx Evo 1.0.2, so I may be looking at an upgrade. Any ideas or direction anyone can put me on is much appreciated.

Resources can belong to more than one resource group, so you can just create a new resource group for the Tier3-only resources and connect it to the Tier3 User group. As long as those resources are not in the other Resource Group (Tier2?) the other users won't see them. The Tier3 users will still see the Tier2 resources if you connect them to the Tier2 Resource group.
