Links not working

Hi All,

The links are not working in the footer of this website ... http://www.totalprotectgold.com ... they just reload the page like a null link. Except for the popup "Contact Us" link which works fine.

Also all the links on the page are changing to go to ".net" or ".org" sites. The .net and .org sites are redirects, so it goes to the correct pages but wrong URL extension.

I'm not sure that these two problems are related.

In your template you have the base ref set to the .org domain
Also all the JS & CSS links have that domain as the url.

Thanks Bunk.

I went into each domain (.net, .org etc.) Modx manager and cleared the cache, and the links now stay on the .com. Fixed.

Do you have any idea why the footer links are not working? They are working in FireFox now, but still don't work in IE9. [ed. note: DanLoffler last edited this post 14 years, 7 months ago.]

Okay, one more bit of info ...

The footer links work in FF, when I'm logged in to the Modx Manager, but not when I'm not. Maybe this helps.

Footer links show the .com domain okay for me in IE9 & FFox, though the links seem to load the home page, probably that is your error page and you don't actually have those pages yet? [ed. note: bunk58 last edited this post 14 years, 7 months ago.]

Yes, you're right about the error page being the home page.

The pages exist and they are published. I've tried changing the links to [~#~]. That didn't work either.

Here's my footer chunk ...

For me the base href is still .net so the footer link Disclosure is going to .net/Disclosure for example

that being said if I type in .com/Disclosure I still do not get a disclosure page - it is as if it does not exist, or is not published

The contact link works because it is grabbed by some js and so is not going to another page.
