    Hello, My website has been running ModXCMS 0.9.6.3 for a long time now.

    I would like to upgrade to the latest version. I was wondering if doing so would cause any problems or if there is a certain way I should go about doing so.

    Thank You.

      You can upgrade to 1.0.5 easily; upgrading to 2.0 Revo is another matter altogether.

      The only thing I tend to do with such old versions is to avoid upgrading the snippets (don't upload them and don't have them checked while running the upgrade). Then I'll upgrade the snippets manually one at a time to make sure that the snippet call parameters haven't changed enough to cause a problem. Most snippets can be left as they are.

      You may need to edit the .sql files in the install folder, since most of them use
      Type=MyISAM
      when creating a table, while newer version of MySQL require
      ENGINE=MyISAM
      instead.
