Ok, so i;ve just moved a new site to live from our development server - as an example its at site.example.com
the live server is newwebsite.com
So,
1: Upload the setup Directory
2: Set the config file to 777
3: Flush Site Cache
4: Flush All Security Sessions
5: Change the site.example.com domain to newwebsite.com on my control panel (you probably wont have to do this)
6: Update my hosts file to my ip and newwebsite.com
7: Run newwebsite.com/setup
Usually works every 9 / 10 times, if that fails i then do:
8: open config.inc.php and check all of my paths are correct.
