    Hi,

I’m looking for a Web page snapshot solution...

I did not find anything related here, does anyone have a clue ?

Purpose : some snippet that take a pix of any url and generates the pix and its thumnail. (should not take the pix each time it is called...)
Main goal is to use such an application within a Ditto call, to expose easily any site.

    Thank you

or if you prefer to go at it on a link by link basis, try this package from the authors site:

Pretty handy indeed I’ve tried it and it works though I suspect the websnapr site is victim of its success : it took 6 days for my miniatures to be generated tongue

Wait, I can’t vouch that it’s the case for everyone and every submission.

Remember I am french and maybe there is some sort of process where the IP is taken into account I don’t know.

For example I submitted yesterday the snap for my last website and it’s already there (less than 24 hours).
The first time I sumbitted it took 6 days, but maybe that was unfortunate and exceptionnal... I don’t have enough data to give an average...

I was really surprised to wait that long the first time.

                  hum...

seams it’s not working with IE6 (7 ?) : bg comes with strictly nothing inside (even not the ’queued message’ ) I think I add a js error THE FIRST TIME I opened the page in IE6 (I found references to such an error in another thhread about TinyMCE and 0.96)

                  ok with FF

                  Any tips ?

                  Thank you

Hi, I created the plugin. But it seems that Websnpr has problems in the meanwhile. On my site the pictures are also not loaded in FF. So I think your FF loads a cached image.

I dont think about cache issue. (works well with FF, never with IE)

The FF did not get the preview pix very fast (the Websnapr site has to snapshot when it can, and it tooks a few minutes yesterday evening to get those images) but it was displaying the queued message and the websnapr’s logo.

But IN THE SAME time IE never works : it even does not display the websnapr’s logo (even when the pix are still not taken)

Alos : did you got the JS warning on IE ?
