cannot access manager after creating a new TV ?!

    Hi all,
    I was creating a template variable, when I clicked 'Save' I received a 500 server error, the public web site is still working but the manager in unaccesible.
    Clearing cache/restarting the browser makes the Manager login page reappear, but as I enter username and password I get the error again.

    I'm on Linux www 2.6.31, php 5.2.14-pl0-gentoo, Apache 2, mySQl 5.0.90, modxRevo 2.1, no Db table larger than 1MB, no table with overhead to repair etc.

    2 suspicious lines in /core/cache/logs/error.log :

    (ERROR @ /connectors/element/tv/renders.php) Error caching lexicon topic lexicon/en/core/default
[2012-02-21 16:33:40] (ERROR @ /connectors/element/tv/renders.php) Error caching lexicon topic lexicon/en/core/tv_input_types


    Clueless... is there a way to try cleaning the cache from the file system ?!?

      Tried to remove the templateVariable I was working on from the modx_site_tmplvars MySQL table via phpmyadmin, no luck!

        To clear the cache manually, go to core->cache in the file system, then delete everything in the cache folder.

          yes thanks, I renamed the cache directory in core (just to be sure I could go back to it) and the manager resurrected, a new cache folder was immediately build.

            Some of the early 2.1 versions have issues with cache corruption.
