About ExtJs in templates

Hi,

I'm aware that MODx Revolution uses a modified version of ExtJs 3 in the Backend, and that developers are allowed to use it in their own custom CMPs. But are we also allowed to use it in our FrontEnd templates for free? (even in commercial pages)

Thank you!

Oh, sorry for repeating... Thank you Susan (your page become really handy for me back in Evolution days)!

@DiegoBM - I'm not sure what you will be using it for but remember that ExtJs is a heavy library. Someone previously had used it just to fade in a nav menu, forcing their users to download a huge script when jQuery would have done the job easily

Thank you Lucas, I'll bear that in mind because you are right ideed. Actually I was planning to add some desktop-like GUI features to a little web "service", so I thought something like ExtJs might become handy in that situation.

Actually that sounds like an situation where ExtJs would be a good choice. Set some aggressive expires headers on the ExtJs scripts (and any others that don't change regularly) so your app will load up nice and fast for subsequent visits.

Thank you Lucas, I'll follow your advice (really useful link btw)
