Hi Guys,
When I am uploading new images thru the Template Variable section I no longer see thumbs of the images in the File Manager. It shows a blank box with file details bit no actual thumbnail previews. The website shows all the images correctly but it appears to be solely a preview only issue. Any ideas please?

Pls see attached. I also applied chmod 777 to all the existing files in the uploads folders (all images) but no joy.
Also the captcha to login to manager isnt working. Some missing php module maybe? I have GD library. Installed FreeType library too and that made the rows in Migx hang when being edited. Window/Browser is fixed on Loading...

I had the same problem here, did you able to fix it?
On memory I think i fixed it by reuploading the setup directory and going thru the upgrade install process after the server move. I think I may also have switched to using php as fast cgi instead of apache. Modx on linux works a lot better than on windows hosting too I found in terms of file/folder permissions. If you're using windows hosting try setting the chmod permissions in the cpanel (hosting control panel) file manager as opposed to filezilla or similar ftp client.
Hopefully that will work for you. Step 1 clear caches in modx cp, flush sessions and rerun upgrade part of setup i.e www.xyz.com/setup
