I have just spent a few hours trying to get Articles to work. First I got caught up in a red haring when the installer gave me some errors about database rows. There were also some errors about the package in the MODx log which had me messing with cURL settings and such in the php.ini.
As a matter of chance, I tried opening the manager in Firefox and shazam, everything was golden. Looks like there is a bug in Chrome that is now allowing the Articles Manager to show. I am using chrome 17.0.963.56. Usually, I run my manager in Chrome and do my dev work in Firefox so I don't have to deal with Firebug slowing down the MODx manager. Guess I will have to try something else:-)
