    Hi
i have a mocx website with 3 departments.
All departments (kemi fysik nano) have public webpages
and i have 3 manager users (kemi fysik nano) and i want
them only to edit their part of the webpage.
As the setup is now they can either edit the whole thing
or nothing. The all have the same role.

    greetings

The only thing you need to do to achieve this is :
      1) Activate user permissions : Tools > Configuration > User >> Use access permissions: Yes
      2) create 3 manager users groups : kemi, fysik, nano. Go to Security > Manager permissions >> User groups >>> Create user group.
      3) create 3 document groups : kemi, fysik, nano. Go to Security > Manager permissions >> Document groups >>> Create document group.
      4) finally, still in Security > Manager permissions >> User/Document group links assign group document each use group can access

      And you’re done smiley

        I did as you said.
But the problem is the document assignment.

        I made document groups fysik-doc and nano-doc
now i can assign the document to each of the groups
the problem is that they become invisible to public.
when I choose anything else then All Document Groups.

In the wiki i found the following trick, i madea group
        "public-group" without any members
and i assigned the documents to them. Now they are
visible but editable by anyone logged into the backend.
check out the image of my websites root:

If i choos "nano-doc" both the webaccess and the manageraccess
        turns into "private"
