Works like charm. Got a default text for all empty dates and links when set up date.
BUT no date rendered. Just empty paragraph.

Yes. I`ve tried that with or without tv. prefix, no help.
And tried [[+tv.start-date:date=`%d.%m.%Y`]], also this one has tested with various combinations. No help.
I did have tpl which renders date, but I`ve lost it

No help. I`m thinking is my TV set up correctly. What there should be.
I`m working newest versions of revo and GR.

Got it work!
TPL:
<div class="eventListing"><p>[[+start-date]]</p><a href="[[~[[+id]]]]">[[+pagetitle]]</a></div>
And change TV:s date output to %d.%m.%Y
Something odd in placeholder when modifying date format.
Update 2
Changed TV default output to %d.%m.%Y (created have: %A %d, %B %Y). Now works with modified placeholders.

Ok, good! Btw, my tv was with "input type: date" and "output options: default", I left the other on their default value, and it worked fine. I don't know why it didn't work for you.
