How to make FURL's with one Resource for multiple pages

Hi,

I have this problem. I use one Resource to display a custom news detailpage.
De content is collected by a snippet that receives a url-variable. For example: http://www.domain.com/news/category/news-detail.html?news=192

This works great, but it would be nice if I can make this work with a nice FURL.
So instead of
http://www.domain.com/news/category/news-detail.html?news=192
it says:
http://www.domain.com/news/category/mm-jj-yyyy/title-of-the-news-item.html

What would I need to do, to make this work? I thought I could use makeUrl(), but it does just the opposite.

Use a getResources call like this to get the FURLs per article
Use a placeholder or something similar, I can't now think how, to insert the date into the FURL

Sorry for my ignorance but can you explain how getResourcesTag helps me build a FURL?
I'm not sure how to use your code example..

Or another approach might be to have your current snippet that builds the "?news=192" use the modx makeUrl function. Works like the [[~192]] placeholder.

your snippet, which lists your news will need its own makeurl-function which generates the url.
Then you can use a plugin which listens for the onPageNotFound - Systemevent
,splits the url into its parts, sets a $_GET-param with the correct event-id and redirects to your news-detail-page.
