MODx Gallery Plugin with S3 Support?

So I've upgraded my portfolio site to Revo 2.2 with support for Media Sources. I've had previous experience with the Gallery plugin and instead of creating all my own custom chunks with phpThumb and jQuery I've rather use Gallery as a tried and tested package.

Is there currently any plans to add Amazon S3 or Media Source support for the Gallery plugin? I guess this question is best answered by splittingred. Alternatively, does anyone have any alternative solutions to managing large photography galleries and graphic design pieces with S3 and Thumbnail support?

I run a few different MODx sites that I'm starting to move from my own custom CDN domain (with the view of implenting a distributed network later) to S3 storage servers, any advice is appreciated.

Not at the moment, but that's a good suggestion. However, upgradability with such a solution might be an issue. A good idea nonetheless!
