Integration to YII (MVC) framework

Hello, we are trying to integrate Yii framework functionality in some pages of ModX. Basically we create a controller and action and are trying so that the controller can be called within a ModX page and partial output be rendered in ModX. The problems we are expecting are:
1) Posting of forms
2) Manning sessions and logins.

Has anyone experienced this or any suggestions if this is possible?

MODX is a framework by itself, why do you want to integrate an additional framework?

As I've never heard of that framework, what do you want to do? Integrate some methods? Use the complete framework? What is the advantage to use both?
