Hello dear community,
I have successfully integrated the blog into my existing website with the help of the Articles plugin.
Since it is a multi-lingual site, I have 4 contexts, the blog container however sits only in the German context.
What i would like to do is have a reference to that blog container in each of the other contexts,
without having to switch contexts, so that going to »mywebsite.com/FR/blog« the user remains in the French context, but sees the content of »mywebsite.com/DE/blog«.
I have tried using a Symlink but it doesn't seem to fetch the blog's content.
I have been trying for hours, and I am normally not the first to post in a forum when things get complicated, but in this case I guess it would be helpful if somebody pointed me in the right direction.
Thanks, your help is very much appreciated.
Does anyone have a solution?
Hello,
It seams that I have a similar issue. I install Quip and Article on my multilanguage web site. And it does not work.
However, I installed it on a simple web site (1 language, no change on context) and it works.
I am wondering if the fact to modify the htacess and adding context make the issue.
Do you have an idea?
Did you solve your issue?
Cheers

you will need a snippet or an output-filter, which rewrites the link to the current context-url and a plugin, which listens to onPageNotFound, which redirects to a extra blog-entry-page in the current context.
This blog-entry-page will need a snippet, which gets and returns the blog-entry-details.
duplicate contents !??

I found this link that kind of discusses how to do this... but it is still not clear for me:

I have a snippet that uses makeUrl on each blog entry link in the blog list. This url links to the blog-entry-page with the ID of the article. The blog-entry-page has a snippet that gets the id, then creates the resource array which then calls a chunk and displays the information from the blog article. That all works dandy.. the problem I am having is rewriting the URL with the pagetitle of the actual article and not the url blog-entry-page?id=x.

In this example there is no onPageNotFound error because the blog-entry-page exists....
