For what purpose do you use the add-on Articles?

The add-on Articles is a major addition to Modx.

The Modx community is very creative, I wonder how people use Articles other than for a blog.

For my part I plan to use Articles to maintain a list of technical documents. I wonder if my use of Articles is correct compared to adding a custom table?

They use or the will use Articles with eventsCalendar2 for events management.

But to know if this is better approach than a custom Table, is not answered.
