Finally working on my first modx site again...anyrate.

I cant edit from the front end on a particular page because Im using some trix!

    heres the trick:
    Ive made a DL
in the DT I have an image for the "onclick=Effect.Appear" scriptaculous effect event
    So the DD opens.

Its great. I love it tooke me forever to get working right.

One problem though , the front end editor. When I click on that page..it only shows me the DT not the DD, which is what may need to be edited and updated from time to time.

I realize of course this has to do with the show hide nature of the script..(and style:display:none)
Anyone have suggestions getting the frontend editor..to read into the DD’s?

    Thanks for any suggestions

(this refers to quickEdit of course)

    UPDATE:
I just tried custom link as well
    <quickedit:content /> placed in a DD...
and it shows up in the dd during browsing but when you click to edit..it only shows the DT to edit.

    The DD Does have a style display: none;
to it, its the nature of the script...to work in that method...
    (show and hide)
So I know thats the issue..but I cant figure out what to do about it...LOL.
Should I try making a TV?

Ok been a few hours trying stuff out...this is definately an issue with the inline style (*necessary for the script to work) of Display:none.
So I guess my questions is...
How can I call quickedit so that the previously hidden element (in this case definition -DD) is editable?

Otherwise I have no other recourse but to abandon that idea I guess. sad

You see its a group bios page..and basically what I have is an accordian type of effect , to save space...
BUT if people (other than myself) can’t easily edit their own bios..

Well it defeats the whole purpose of me transfering our site to modx, ( of course I still paln on using it though, just may have to drop this idea)

Just take 0.96RC3, its Quickedit functions are moved to mootools. Perhaps there is no conflict anymore.

oh wow..im an idiot I didnt even think about the version(s)
I was testing it on my local version...I went and tested on my remote which is a more recent version.
            ..no problem!

            local 9.21
remote tester-9.5 (and it wrx fine here-dont know if its moo related, but something fixed)

I guess I didnt even think about what ver I had installed remotely..it was supposed to save time to develop locally. LOL

Note to self: why the hell am i developing on two diff versions! LOL

            Thanks for the heads up!
