i can't see any of my images in the Manager in the updated gallery. The names of the images are still there and correct but the images are not.
I can see that Gallery 1.4.0 had created a different folder structure and it looks correct. The image files are in the appropriate folders.
If i upload a new image, it's thumbnail doesn't appear either but the text does.
What i have checked:
- all gallery paths
- compared Gallery and phpthumb parameters to a working gallery

[SOLVED} - to solve the problem i had to replace the new version of phpthumb.php that came with Gallery 1.4.0 with older version of phpthumb from Gallery 1.0.1. These files are drastically different.
I traced the code through Firebug and the URL path for the thumb looks correct (although i get an error message in Firebug "failed to load..." which is certainly suspicious - i just don't know why it can't load the file. Also the call to connector.php looks correct. I also tried an older version of connector..php.
