I'm trying to roll back an extra (Login) to the previous version (from 1.7.2 to 1.7.1) as it's causing a problem on my site. I've tried all 3 uninstall options (restore, preserve and uninstall) and all 3 fully uninstall the extra altogether - which not surprisingly causes my site to break. I then have to reinstall it, which automatically uses the latest version (1.7.2).
How can I roll back?
If you go to
http://modx.com/extras/package/login, you should be able to download a previous version (click on the "Previous Versions" tab) to your core/packages directory and search locally for packages. Unstall all your versions first.
Don't forget to report whatever bug you're running into and you might also describe it here for the curious (like me).
