So, i was messing around with polls for revo and adjusted a nice piece of code from:
http://papermashup.com/using-php-and-css-to-make-a-simple-graph/ to work with polls results template. The bar graphs size, colour, background etc. can easily be customized to suit your needs. The code validates and output works in all major browsers (tested in ie 6,7,8).

To make it work follow 4 simple steps:
1. Copy the contents of pollsLatestResultAnswerCHUNK.txt to pollsLatestResultAnswer chunk.
2. Copy the contents of pollsLatestResultOuterCHUNK.txt to pollsLatestResultOuter chunk
3. Apply the css from the pollBarChart.css to the template that your page with polls uses
4. Change the path to bargraph.png in the css to wherever your image is
