Hi Guys, I have formit working with recaptcha but is there other captchas I can use that are small... say 150x * 50h? I tried using this: http://www.html-form-guide.com/contact-form/html-contact-form-captcha.html but the PHP Self is causing an issue with register globals being off (needed by modx 2.2). In particular the issue is with incorrect captcha being entered and after hitting submit it sending/validation fails. Perhaps some one would now how to get it working or suggest an alternative form with small captcha that doesnt rely on PHP Self?
Also trying to get captcha working fo the Login extra (Modx 2.2) From what I understand I have to just add public/private keys to the system captcha (as opposed to formit captcha) to get it working. If not how do i enable Login captcha within settings? There will be a formit captcha and login captch on same page - wud this cause a conflict? Can captcha for formit & Login be on a page together?
Thanks [ed. note: howster last edited this post 14 years, 8 months ago.]

There is a MODX Captcha extra. It can be called independently. I don't know what the image size is offhand.

SPForm also installs a working contact form and it uses the Captcha extra.

I think it's also possible to have FormIt use the regular captcha, but I've never done it.

        Hi Bob/Guys,
Thanks for the reply. In system settings I am unable to save values in recaptcha.private_key & recaptcha.public_key - That aint normal is it? Any fix please? I have these keys for Formit working fine though
        formit.recaptcha_private_key and
        formit.recaptcha_public_key,.
Trying to get captcha working for Login extra but that may be the issue.

THANKS! [ed. note: howster last edited this post 14 years, 8 months ago.]

Have you messed with permissions that could affect that?

It could also be the date/timezone issue, or the compress_js/compress_css issue.

I put in the public and private keys directly into the database and it registers in Sytem settings. Still nio recaptcha for the Login Extra tho.

                My bad. Left out
                &preHooks=`recaptcha`
Hardcoding in the public and private keys in the db had to be done tho.
