are template variables cached? i’m using @EVAL bindings and the output seems to be being cached somewhere... not sure if this is a problem with my setup (i suspect so), or something to do with modx 0.9.5

Yes, if you look at the page cache files, you’ll see the entire document object being cached, which includes the TV’s
