tl;dr: I'm trying to find where in the database that users are mapped to user roles.

I've been working on a project in which I've basically been trying to repair a broken ModX site by creating a new installation and merging the databases and copying some files. It's basically worked with the unintentional side effect that my admin user, the ONLY user, now doesn't have manager access. Which is a problem.

What I'm pretty sure I need to find is where the permission roles are mapped to users. I've been digging through the database and it's not obvious, and I can't seem to find any decent documentation on it and I don't really have time to bone up on the entire structure of the CMS. Do any of you fine people have a hint?

Sorry, that's a very good point. It's 2.13 I believe; it'd still be interesting although it's less urgent now since I've fixed the problem by changing the ID & internalKey of the admin's user table and user_attributes table entries to the ID of the previous install's admin. Pretty hackish, but it did the job and that's pretty much the game we're playing... Cheers!
