I've got a MODx site (2.1.5-pl traditional) using tinymce 4.3.0 pl. In the System Settings for Rich-Text Editor, I've set "Path to CSS file" to the CSS file for the front end site. The Resource Content area shows many of the styles correctly for the fonts (i.e. color and sizes), but the colors for the h1-h6 tags is inconsistent (font-sizes are different, colors, etc.). I've double checked the CSS file to make sure there's only 1 value for each instance of a "H" tag, cleared the cache, etc. but nothing is working.
Curious if there's a setting I'm overlooking or if anyone else has had this issue.

Do the heading tags possibly have "style" attributes?
Firebug should tell you where the color is coming from. Click on the inspect arrow and then on a heading.

@Bob ... I just found the problem. If logged in this way everything worked fine:
http://sitename.com/manager
If logged in with "www", the "H" tags do not behave properly:
http://www.sitename.com/manager
So on lines 17-19 of the .htaccess file in the root dir, I changed the values to:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} .
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^sitename\.com [NC]
RewriteRule (.*)
http://sitename.com/$1 [R=301,L]
This fixed the problem.

Good catch. Not forcing www or non-www can cause all kinds of weird and hard-to-diagnose problems. We should probably strongly advise people to set one or the other in .htaccess. I've filed it as a request

I'm glad you got it sorted.

Yeh, having people decide which URL they want will help a lot. Thanks for submitting that.
